It's all one workspace. Each page below starts it with the right settings for a particular job, and explains how to get the best result.

- Screenshot to text Take a screenshot, press Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac) anywhere on this page, and copy the text. Chats, error messages and slides are read on your device, so private screenshots stay private.
- Photo to text Point your phone's camera at a page, sign, whiteboard or label and turn it into text you can edit, copy or save as a Word file. The photo is read on your device, not uploaded.
- PDF to text Drop in a PDF and get the text from every page. Pages that already contain text are taken as they are, and scanned pages are read with OCR, all on your own device.
- JPG to text Drop in a JPG or JPEG and copy the text out of it. Reading happens in your browser, so the image stays on your device, with no sign-up and no daily limit.
- PNG to text Drop in a PNG, or paste one straight from your clipboard, and copy the text out. Screenshots, dark-mode captures and exported graphics are read on your device, with nothing uploaded.

- Image to Word Turn a photo, scan or screenshot of a page into a .docx with its headings, paragraphs and lists intact, ready to edit in Word or Google Docs. The image is read on your device and never uploaded.
- Image to Excel Drop in a screenshot or photo of a table and get rows and columns you can edit, paste into Excel or Google Sheets, or download as XLSX or CSV. The image is read on your device and never uploaded.
- Image to PDF Turn photos, scans and screenshots into a PDF that still shows the image but has a hidden layer of real text, so you can search it, select it and copy from it. Several images can become one PDF.
- Image to Markdown Get Markdown from a screenshot, slide or photo of a page: headings become # lines, lists stay lists, tables become Markdown tables and code lands in fenced blocks. Copy it or download a .md file.
- Image to JSON Get the text from an image as structured JSON: one entry per page with its reading mode and text, plus table cells or receipt fields and line items when the page has them. Everything is read in your browser.
Read special content
- Handwriting to text Photograph or scan your handwritten notes and get typed text you can edit. It works best on neat, print-style writing; joined-up cursive is harder, and the words Image to Text App is unsure of are underlined.
- Receipt OCR Photograph or drop in a receipt and get the business name, date, tax, total and every line item as fields you can check and edit. Download CSV for a spreadsheet or JSON for your own tools.
- Invoice OCR Read a scanned, photographed or PDF supplier invoice into invoice number, issue and due dates, bill-to, tax ID, totals and line items. Check them next to the image, then download an Excel sheet or JSON.
- Code screenshot to text Paste a screenshot of code from a video, slide, chat or editor and get plain source code back, with indentation intact, curly quotes straightened and the language named. Dark editor themes are handled automatically.
